Giedrė is a 2nd year PhD student in the field of education sciences at Vytautas Magnus University and a mom of a one year old daughter. Currently, she trying to reconcile these two roles and actively return to scientific activities. At this moment, Giedre is participation in scientific project and research activities is mainly in the thematic fields of reconciling parenthood and career of young families as well as higher education (organization of studies).

Research interests: preparation of doctoral students, doctoral studies, development of academic personnel’s qualification, and higher education’s policy and it’s implementation.

 

Presentation in A1 session: What is Expected from Early Career in Nowadays Society? Theoretical Approach.

In nowadays society, early career researcher is required not only to have different scientific competences but alsohe is expected to implement various functions and roles in academic life. Topic will be focused on theoretical requirements for early career scholar that are defined in documents that regulate European Union and national higher education as well as in scientific literature.
